Their patience is wearing thin.  Citizens of District 7 have waited for years for solutions to pressing problems in education, economic development, health care and roads.  Citizens tell me they want the job to get done.  My plans are outlined on the "Background and Issues" tab...take a look and see what we can have in North Carolina.

For multiple decades, the power hungry and tax loving North Carolina General Assembly has had only one solution to the issues we face: throw more taxpayer money at it. If the problem persists….just grow the program larger and throw even more money at it.  This pattern has failed and, now, the citizens want solutions.

For years, in our District we have been looking for improved school performance, for attention to the vulnerable ones in our mental health system, and for safer roads.

Billions upon billions of our hard-earned tax dollars have been spent without seeing significant results in just these three critically important areas - schools, mental health, and roads. And there are more...many, many more.  Where are the results?  Where is the accountability? 

As a small business owner, I know what it takes to make a payroll. I can see the burden on business every week: the impact of high taxation, high health insurance premiums and the costs of government over regulation.

Unlike my opponent, this is the only public office I have ever attempted to win. I haven’t spent a significant portion of my life campaigning for numerous public offices.  I haven’t spent years on the taxpayers’ payroll. I’ve been building a business. I have been investing what the government has allowed me to keep making a living for my family and paying my employees.

Unlike my opponent, I am not supported and endorsed by special interests that are at odds with the values of so many of our families.

Please take a few moments to click and read the “Background and Issues” page of this website. I believe you will find that our priorities are similar.  And you will see new solutions to address the issues that face us. We can have these things in NC.

Old, tired, failed, expensive programs must be challenged and their success measured by actual results; not measured by how much of your money was thrown at it.
