We are beginning a challenge that will require contributions from people who are passionate about their community and know that new solutions are needed. Not the old, tired "just throw money at it" solutions. The candidate these people support must have the ideas, integrity, ability and staying power needed.

This is not a race between two similar candidates. This is a race between the underdog, Chuck Stires, a demonstrated common sense conservative, and the incumbent, Doug Berger, considered the most liberal state senator now serving. He is endorsed and supported by very special interest groups with very narrow liberal goals that are frequently at odds with the priorities of the community he says he represents.

This race has statewide implications to the whole of North Carolina.  The removal of an incumbent liberal lawmaker also will have implications to the whole of America.

The choice is clear.  I need your help, now.  I need your help from all over North Carolina and from all over America.

The solutions to the issues that face us are not found in a state government that continues to grow well beyond the level of growth of our state. This ever growing bureaucracy, enthusiastically supported by the incumbent, Doug Berger, saps your family's choices, personal liberties and your hard-earned money. I believe our greatest strength is found within us and our families; not big oppressive government agencies. Two drastically different philosophies.  I need your help, now

Contributions tell a powerful story.  These contributions are a demonstration by people who are making a commitment to solutions.  Contributors want the work to start now knowing that to unseat an liberal incumbent takes money and effort now...not in August or September.
